1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kinvo (kinvophone.com and the associated calling service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Kinvo is a browser-based international calling service that allows users to make voice calls to landlines and mobile phones in 220+ countries using WebRTC technology. The service operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system with no subscription required.
3. Account Registration
To use Kinvo, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Credits and Payments
4.1 Purchasing Credits
Credits are purchased through our payment processor (Stripe) in preset amounts ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100) or custom amounts. All prices are in US dollars. Larger credit packs include bonus credits as advertised at the time of purchase.
4.2 Credit Expiration
Credits never expire. Once purchased, credits remain in your account until used, regardless of how much time passes.
4.3 Billing
Each call deducts credits based on the per-minute rate for the destination country, billed in 6-second increments. A connection fee of $0.05 is charged per call, only when the call is answered. If the call is not answered, no credits are deducted.
4.4 Refunds
Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law. If you experience a technical issue that results in incorrect billing, contact us at abdel@kinvophone.com and we will investigate and credit your account if appropriate.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Kinvo to:
- Make fraudulent, harassing, threatening, or illegal calls
- Engage in telemarketing, robocalling, or automated dialing
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
- Attempt to circumvent billing, exploit system vulnerabilities, or abuse the service
- Resell or commercially redistribute the service without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
6. Call Quality and Availability
Kinvo uses WebRTC technology and third-party VoIP infrastructure to route calls. While we strive for high availability and HD call quality, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Call quality depends on factors outside our control, including your internet connection, the destination network, and intermediate carriers.
Kinvo is not a replacement for emergency services. You cannot use Kinvo to call emergency numbers (911, 112, 999, etc.). Always use a regular phone or mobile for emergency calls.
7. Team Accounts
Team accounts allow multiple users to share a credit wallet under a single billing entity. The team owner is responsible for all activity by team members and for managing spending limits. Team accounts require a minimum initial credit purchase of $150.
8. Caller ID and Virtual Numbers
Kinvo allows users to verify their personal phone number for use as caller ID. You may only verify phone numbers that you own or are authorized to use. Misrepresenting your identity through caller ID spoofing is prohibited and may result in account termination.
Virtual phone numbers purchased through Kinvo are subject to the regulations of the country in which the number is issued.
9. Intellectual Property
The Kinvo name, logo, website, and service are the property of Kinvo. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the service without our written permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of Kinvo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinvo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Kinvo in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. Upon termination, any remaining credits in your account are forfeited, except where prohibited by applicable law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
