How this tool works

Select the country you are in and the country you want to call. The tool calculates the current UTC offset for both (including daylight saving adjustments), compares the typical awake hours in each country, and highlights the overlap window where both parties are most likely awake and comfortable taking a call.

Why timing matters for international calls

Calling at the wrong time means voicemails, missed calls, and frustration. The time difference between New York and Mumbai is 10.5 hours — if you call at noon your time, it is 10:30 PM there. This tool shows you exactly when both sides are in their comfort zone so your call actually gets answered.

Tips for calling across time zones

  • -Schedule calls during the green "great" hours when neither side needs to adjust.
  • -If overlap is limited, alternate who takes the early/late slot each time.
  • -Check for daylight saving changes — the overlap shifts by 1 hour twice a year.
  • -For countries with multiple time zones (US, Australia, Russia), the tool uses the most common zone.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool account for daylight saving time?

Yes. The tool uses your browser's timezone database (IANA) to calculate the current offset, which automatically includes DST adjustments.

What are the "awake hours" based on?

We use typical waking hours for each country (usually 7 AM to 10 PM local time, adjusted for cultural norms). For example, Spain and Argentina have later schedules, while East African countries tend to wake earlier.

Can I call directly from this tool?

Not from this tool directly, but you can sign up for Kinvo to make international calls from your browser. No app needed — just add credits and dial.
